why does the majority of evaporation take place over seas (how the water cycle works)

The water evaporates from overseas because the amount of water in the seas are much more than there is on land. the cycle works like this:
evaporation-cloud-wind takes cloud to land-rain-water goes down to river-goes back to sea.
